Film Club: Big Fish

A man tells his stories so many times that he becomes the stories. They live on after him, and in that way he becomes immortal. 

Big Fish (2003) - A son tries to learn more about his dying father by reliving stories and myths he told about his life.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green - A friend told me this movie was cute. 
Paprika - a random grab because the description sounded intriguing.
Children Who Chase Lost Voices - Same as above.
Orphan Black - Kept hearing it was good. Watched the first 3 episodes so far and I'm pretty sucked in, can't wait to find out what happens. Moving at a good pace so far.
Kick Ass 2 - I have a weird Kick Ass obsession. It's a bit darker than the first one. Hoping they make a third.
The Spectacular Now - I saw the movie and loved it and thought I'd try the book as well.
House of Leaves - Internet people have raved about it, but honestly....I can't get into it.
The Husband's Secret - Copied someone on instagram who said they couldn't put it down.
My Story by Elizabeth Smart - I keep reading kidnapping memoirs.
The Cuckoo's Calling - J.K. Rowling stalker.

Colorful Living and Things

I took advantage of the 3 free promotion Zoya had recently. I had a hard time choosing colors but I really love these shades. Deep navy tones are my favorite to wear lately for some reason. 

Perhaps I am too old for fun laces, but I don't care :D They were $1 each at a Converse outlet store. I'm the most fond of the silver glittery ones. 

I've been searching for some decent moon earrings for a while. Found them at an American Eagle outlet. 

Emerald green. Not a color I'd normally choose but I'm pretty excited for this satchel. Found it super cheap online in the Nordstrom sale section (and I had a gift card!).

12 year old version of myself shining through again. 

Doodles while watching American Horror Story. 

I've been searching for simple star earrings too. 

Volume 9 of The Walking Dead. The story is getting a little weird to me but we'll see what happens!

 Laced up Converse.

Matt got us a Keurig, even though neither of us drink a ton of coffee. I think I'll be using it more for tea and cider.

Another gift card purchase, they were cheap at the Nike outlet. I guess I have a thing for purple and turquoise together. I might add the pink laces to make them more obnoxious. Guess I have to work out more now.

Oops, this was a bit of a "haul" post. Don't mind me.

Films Club: Submarine

Weekend Wandering: Antiques and Art Store

We came across this random antique mall this past weekend. So many weird treasures and pieces of nostalgia, I think we spent a couple hours just wandering around. I haven't felt too creative lately, and have been thinking of getting back into drawing so we also stopped by my favorite art store. I didn't buy anything this time, but I might go back for a new sketch book soon.

Collector - Peter Pan

Added a new book to my collection of children's books. I was recently reading about why Peter Pan is actually a creepy story. I'll try not to think about that though.
